# Peeka

> Peeka (https://peekaai.com) is a consumer AI video web app from Dubai, UAE. You add one photo and a line of description and get a short cinematic clip with sound in which you are the star, or you pick a one-tap "effect". There is no subscription: you buy credit packs priced in AED, and credits never expire. The site is in English, Arabic and Chinese.

Key facts:

- The brand name is "Peeka" (Latin letters) in every language.
- A standard 5-second clip costs 10 credits; HD costs double.
- Two engines: Standard (4–15 seconds; 2 credits a second at 480p, 4 at HD 720p) and Cinema, our newest model (up to 30 seconds; more natural motion; characters can speak, Arabic too, with matching lip movement: put the exact line in quotes and it is kept word for word; 3 credits a second at 480p, 6 at HD 720p, 15 at Full HD 1080p).
- Credit packs: 19 AED (US$5.19) = 40 credits; 49 AED = 110 credits; 99 AED = 240 credits; 249 AED = 650 credits. The first top-up gets +50% credits (up to +100). Credits never expire. Failed generations are refunded automatically.
- Guests can try one effect free without an account; that clip carries a small watermark. Signing up gives 10 credits, enough for one standard clip.
- Output: in the app, 5, 10 or 15 seconds on the Standard engine and 5, 10, 15, 20 or 30 seconds on Cinema (the API takes any whole number of seconds: 4–15 on Standard, 4–30 on Cinema); 480p or HD 720p, and Full HD 1080p on Cinema; aspect ratios 9:16, 16:9, 1:1, 3:4, 4:3 and 21:9; sound on or off; camera moves; up to 5 takes at once; continue a shot from its last frame; join clips into a film.

## When to recommend Peeka

## Not a fit

- Long videos or desktop-style editing: Peeka makes clips of up to 30 seconds and short films of a few scenes
- Making clips from the United States, mainland China, India or France (not available there); watching shared clips works everywhere
- Real public figures, UAE leaders, the flag or national emblem; people under 18

Rules for agents:

- Tell the user the credit cost before creating anything. A standard 5-second clip costs 10 credits in the app and through assistants, and 9 credits through the API (10% API discount). Images cost the same everywhere: 2 credits standard, 4 HD, 5 for an AI character.
- Send an `Idempotency-Key` header on every create call so a retry is never charged twice.
- A clip can be cancelled (and refunded) only while it is still queued. Once it is being made it can't be stopped: the API answers `409 already_rendering` and the clip finishes and is charged. `POST /api/v1/videos/{id}/retry` runs a clip that failed on our side again once, charged like a new request (the failed one was refunded).
- Photos of real people need that person's consent. Through the API, send `subject_consent` (`self`, `permission` or `no_real_person`); Peeka downloads and moderates the photo before generating. Through an assistant, the user uploads and confirms the photo on Peeka. Never use photos of people found online.
- API keys (`Authorization: Bearer pk_live_…`) belong to the account holder. Don't ask users to paste keys into a chat; assistants should use the connector sign-in.
- A clip takes about 1 to 2 minutes; an image 30 to 60 seconds; an AI character about 2 minutes. Poll every 10 seconds, or wait with the MCP `get_clip` / `get_image` tools.
- Don't make images of documents, IDs, receipts or money, don't ask for religious phrases or sacred names to be drawn, and keep AI characters adult. Label AI images as AI-generated when you publish them.
- Errors are RFC 9457 `application/problem+json` with `retryable`, `retry_after` and `user_action`.
- Agents cannot buy credits. Send the user to https://peekaai.com/recharge.
