Acceptable use policy

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy sets out the rules that govern your use of Peeka's video generation service. By accessing or using Peeka, you agree to comply with this policy in full. We reserve the right to update this policy at any time, and continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Prohibited Content

You may not use Peeka to create, upload, or distribute any of the following:

• Terrorism and violent extremism: Praise, glorification, heroic portrayal, propaganda, recruitment, fundraising or calls to join any terrorist or violent-extremist group, attack or attacker, including groups designated by the United Nations, the United Arab Emirates or other governments; their flags, logos, slogans, anthems or leaders shown approvingly; threats or calls to violence against any country, ruler, group or place; and realistic depictions of attacks on real places. Neutral news, history, education, counter-extremism and remembrance (including UAE Commemoration Day) are allowed.
• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any sexualisation of children: Any content that sexualises anyone under 18 or anyone who looks like a child, including fictional, animated or “adult but looks younger” characters, and any romantic, revealing, bathing or nude scene with a child. Peeka maintains a ZERO TOLERANCE policy. Children may appear only fully clothed in ordinary family, school, sport and play scenes.
• Sexual content and non-consensual intimate imagery: Nudity, sex acts, pornography, and erotic or fetish content; and intimate or sexual depictions of any real person.
• Real people, deepfakes and impersonation: Any named public figure or well-known person, including rulers, founding leaders, royal families, heads of state, ministers and officials, celebrities, athletes and influencers, or a lookalike or impersonation of one, shown doing or saying anything, endorsing anything, or as a tribute; and anyone else’s likeness without their permission. Places named after people (for example Sheikh Zayed Road) and roles such as “a king” or “a doctor” are fine.
• Real-person reference imagery: Uploading photographs containing identifiable human faces as reference inputs is restricted. The upstream AIGC model provider applies automated detection and rejects such uploads at the model layer. See §2.5 below for the full real-person policy.
• Misinformation, rumours and political content: Realistic fake news, fake broadcasts, or “leaked”, CCTV-style or phone-style footage of events that did not happen (attacks, strikes, disasters, closures, curfews, protests, election fraud, market crashes); imitating a real news outlet or government body; calls for protests; election deception; and campaign material for candidates or parties. Obviously fictional scenes are fine.
• Hate and harassment: Dehumanising, mocking or insulting people for their race, nationality, ethnicity, tribe, religion, sect, caste, gender, disability or statelessness; slurs; declaring others to be unbelievers (takfir); humiliating or harassing a specific person; and insulting or mocking a foreign country, its people, its leaders or its symbols.
• Religion: Insulting, mocking or desecrating God, any religion, its rites or prayer, holy books, places of worship, or the prophets and their families and companions; and any visual depiction of God or of the prophets venerated in Islam (including Muhammad, Isa/Jesus, Musa/Moses, Ibrahim and Nuh), including reverent re-enactments. Religious occasions shown respectfully are welcome.
• National symbols: The UAE federal emblem or any state or emirate emblem on products or in ads; national flags that are altered, defaced, stepped on, carry logos or are mocked; and mocking any country’s anthem. Flags shown respectfully, for example on National Day, are welcome.
• Self-harm: Showing, encouraging or explaining suicide, self-harm or eating disorders. Content about awareness, recovery and asking for help is welcome.
• Weapons and explosives: Instructions, tutorials or assembly steps for bombs, explosives, firearms (including 3D-printed guns), or chemical or biological weapons, and advertising weapons for sale. Non-instructional depiction, such as film action, hunting, museum pieces or traditional sword and cane dances, is allowed.
• Illegal drugs: Promoting, glamourising or explaining the use, production, sale or smuggling of illegal drugs. Awareness campaigns are allowed.
• Graphic violence: Graphic or realistic killing, torture, beheading, mutilation, corpses or heavy blood, and images of real accident victims or the dead. Non-graphic action, sport and war-film scenes are allowed.
• Fraud, forgery and scams: Fake, forged or counterfeit IDs, passports, licences, certificates, banknotes, receipts, bank transfers or payment screenshots; scams or phishing that impersonate banks, telecoms, police or government; and fake testimonials.
• Regulated goods: Advertising gambling or betting, alcohol, unlicensed investments or “guaranteed returns”, prescription medicines, tobacco or vapes, or weapons. Showing these in a story (for example a casino scene in a film) is allowed.
• Privacy and doxxing: Exposing someone’s address, phone number, workplace, number plate, identity or whereabouts to target or shame them; and secretly filmed or intimate images of anyone. A business’s own contact details are fine.
• Copyright and trademark infringement: Content that infringes upon the intellectual property rights of others, including unauthorized use of copyrighted material or trademarks.

2.5 Real-Person Portrait Policy (Compliance Passthrough)

Peeka's video generation capability is provided by a third-party enterprise AIGC model provider. The upstream model provider enforces a strict real-person reference image policy, which Peeka passes through to end users without modification:

• Upstream rejection is automatic and non-overridable: When a reference image submitted to the upstream model is automatically detected to contain a recognizable real human face, the upstream model will refuse to generate output. Peeka has no technical means to bypass this decision and will not attempt to do so on behalf of any user.
• Permitted reference image categories: products, scenes, logos, virtual avatars, AI-generated non-real characters, landscapes, illustrations, and cartoons.
• Not permitted as reference images: any photograph containing a recognizable real human face, even if the user is the subject or has obtained consent. This restriction applies at the upstream model layer.
• Alternatives for human-subject videos: (a) text-only generation with no reference image; (b) upstream-provided pre-licensed virtual portrait library accessed via the upstream provider's console; (c) enterprise-tier contracts with the upstream provider that include identity verification workflows — contact us if your use case requires this path.
• Error reporting: When a reference image is rejected by the upstream model, Peeka tells you, in its own words, that the image was turned down and the general reason (for example, a real-face or safety check). We do not show the provider's raw error text, and we never present a rejection as something else. Credits charged for the rejected attempt come back automatically, and you can appeal as described in §2.4 of our Terms.
• Data processing: Reference images submitted with a generation request are transmitted to the upstream model provider's servers (located in Asia-Pacific jurisdictions) for inference and content moderation. Submission constitutes consent to this transfer. Do not upload images containing sensitive personal data of unconsenting third parties under any circumstance.

3. Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited:

• Multiple account abuse: Creating multiple accounts to exploit the free tier, accumulate free credits, or abuse the referral system.
• Self-referral and referral farming: Referring yourself using alternate accounts or creating fake accounts to earn referral rewards.
• Unauthorized automated access: Using bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access the service without prior written authorization.
• Bypassing content safety filters: Attempting to circumvent, disable, or manipulate the content moderation and safety systems.
• Reverse engineering: Decompiling, disassembling, or otherwise attempting to extract the source code, AI models, or proprietary technology of the service.
• Unauthorized resale: Reselling, sublicensing, or redistributing access to the service without written authorization from Peeka.
• Service disruption: Conducting DDoS attacks, intentionally overloading servers, or any other activity designed to disrupt or degrade the service for other users.

4. AI Content Disclosure

Users are responsible for disclosing that content was generated using AI. Disclosure is mandatory in the following situations:

• When required by applicable law or regulation in your jurisdiction.
• When the content could reasonably be mistaken for real, unedited footage.
• When the content is used in news, journalism, documentary, or political contexts.

The small "peeka" mark on clips made as a guest (without an account) serves as partial disclosure of AI generation. Clips made with an account carry no mark, and the mark alone may not satisfy all legal disclosure requirements. Users are ultimately responsible for ensuring full compliance with applicable disclosure laws.

Share pages say “Made with Peeka · AI video”, downloaded files are named as AI videos, and the files carry machine-readable information that they were made with AI. Do not remove or alter these labels or any identifiers added by our model providers.

5. Applicable Regulations

All users must comply with applicable laws in their jurisdiction, including but not limited to:

• Cybercrime laws: Most jurisdictions have laws against online defamation, spreading false information, invasion of privacy, and unauthorized access to information systems. Violations may result in fines and imprisonment.
• Media and content laws: Content depicting national symbols, heads of state, or government institutions may require official permission in certain jurisdictions. Unauthorized use may result in legal action.
• Criminal codes: Content that offends public morality, decency, or religious values is a criminal offense in many jurisdictions, subject to fines and imprisonment.
• Reporting to authorities: Peeka cooperates with competent authorities. Violations of applicable law identified on our platform may be reported to relevant regulatory bodies and law enforcement.

6. Content Moderation

We check what you ask us to make before anything is made and before any credits are taken:

• Automated checks: Every description, Studio brief and plan, text in an image, chat message to Ask Peeka, share description and caption we add to a film is checked against this policy by our own automated system, in every language we support. Our video and image model providers also apply their own checks to what goes in and what comes out.
• Human review: Our team reviews flagged and reported content, clips before they appear on the public Explore wall, and accounts under review.
• Public wall: Clips made from your own description appear on Explore only after a check. On the wall, romance and public affection are not shown for any couple.
• Halal mode: If you turn it on in Account, we also leave out alcohol, pork, gambling, nightlife, romance and immodest clothing.
• Content whitelist: Approved users and enterprise customers may apply for a content whitelist that adjusts filter sensitivity for legitimate professional use cases. Whitelist access is granted at our sole discretion and never allows anything prohibited in section 2.
• Records: We keep a record of blocked requests, reports and our decisions for twelve (12) months, also after an account is deleted, as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Enforcement

Violations of this policy will result in enforcement actions proportional to the severity of the violation:

• Blocked request: Nothing is made and nothing is charged. You see a short reason and can tell us if you think we got it wrong.
• Repeated violations: Three blocked requests within 24 hours pause making from text on the account for 24 hours (effects keep working). Five within 30 days put the account on hold until we review it. Blocks that we overturn on review do not count.
• Serious violations: Content that sexualises children, supports terrorism or gives weapon instructions puts the account on hold at once while we review it. We keep the evidence.
• Takedown: We may remove any clip from sharing, the public wall and your library, and keep a restricted copy where the law requires it.
• Termination: Permanent account termination and forfeiture of remaining credits for severe or repeated violations.
• Law enforcement referral: Reporting to the competent authorities, in the UAE or elsewhere, when content violates applicable law.

CSAM: There is no warning or appeal process for child sexual abuse material. Accounts will be immediately terminated and reported to law enforcement.

Appeals: For all other violations, use “Tell us” on the message you saw, or contact contact@peekaai.com within 14 days of the action. Appeals will be reviewed within 5 business days. Include your account email, the reference number if you have one, and a description of why you believe the action was taken in error.

Takedown requests from people shown in a clip, rights holders and authorities: email contact@peekaai.com with the subject “Takedown”, the link to the content and the reason. We act on valid requests promptly and, for official orders, within the time the order sets.
