Prompt guide

How to describe a scene so Peeka makes the clip you pictured.

Five parts of a good description

One or two sentences is enough. Cover these and leave out the rest.

A woman in a white linen dress1. Whoturns and smiles2. Actionon a rooftop in Dubai3. Placeat golden hour, warm light4. Light and moodslow push in5. Camera

  1. 1Who · Who is on screen, and what they wear. With a photo, say “the person in my photo”.
  2. 2Action · One clear action per clip works best.
  3. 3Place · Where it happens. A specific place beats a vague one.
  4. 4Light and mood · Time of day, light and feeling set the look.
  5. 5Camera · How the camera moves. Or pick a camera move on Create.

Before and after

Short, vague lines leave the model guessing. Add the five parts.

Before

A girl in Dubai

After

A young woman in a white linen dress walks along Dubai Marina at sunset, turns to the camera and smiles, warm golden light, slow push in.

Before

Perfume ad

After

A glass perfume bottle on black velvet, a single spotlight from above, the camera slowly circles the bottle, soft reflections, no music.

Before

Me playing football

After

The person in my photo walks out of a stadium tunnel into the floodlights, the crowd cheers, a confident smile, the camera follows alongside.

Your photo

The photo decides whose face is in the clip.

  • One person, face clearly visible, looking roughly at the camera.
  • Good, even light. No heavy filters, masks or sunglasses.
  • Head and shoulders, or waist up, works best.
  • Use photos of yourself, or of people who have agreed.
  • Write “the person in my photo” in the description so it's clear who the star is.

Camera moves

Pick one on Create, or describe it in words.

StaticThe camera holds still. The performance does the work.
Push inSlowly moves closer. Builds emotion.
Pull backSlowly pulls away to reveal the place
OrbitCircles the subject. The most cinematic.
RiseRises up. Great for a big ending.
FollowMoves along with the subject
HandheldA little shake, like a real phone video

Length, sound and takes

Length
5 seconds fits one shot and one action. 10 seconds gives a moment with a start and an end. 15 seconds leaves room for a small story.
Sound
Sound is made with the picture. Name the sounds you want, like waves, a crowd or footsteps. Write “no music” if you'll add your own.
More than one take
Make 2, 3 or 5 takes of the same description and keep the best. Each take is charged separately, and failed ones are refunded.
Going longer
Continue a clip from its last frame to keep the shot going, then join the clips into a film for free.

If something looks off

The face changes
Use a sharp, front-facing photo of one person and keep the action simple.
Too much is happening
Keep to one action per clip. Split a longer story into several clips and join them.
Text or logos look wrong
Don't ask for readable text, signs or logos. Add them later in a video editor.
The clip was rejected
The model's safety check turned it down. Change the photo or the wording. Your credits are refunded automatically.

Write in your language

English, Chinese and Arabic all work. Descriptions that aren't in English are translated automatically before the clip is made, so there's no need to translate.
